The Internet is an amazing tool that makes our lives easier every day. For us, OpenPay, it is important to help our customers maintain their privacy when taking advantage of everything the Internet has to offer.
“We believe your business is no one else's”. Your privacy is important to you and to us. So we will protect the information you share with us. To protect your privacy, OpenPay follows various principles in accordance with global practices for customer privacy and data protection.
- We will not sell or give to anyone your name, email address, phone number, email address or any other information you have provided to us,

Prior information
When we need information to personally identify you or to contact you, we will explicitly state this in advance. You will need to give your consent to provide this information. The data we request is requested in order to create your account, create a user ID and password, purchase a subscription, sign up for a newsletter or download software.
We use and store this personal information for three main purposes and, for your convenience, you will only need to provide this information once to use our online services. This information will never be used for any other purpose. The three purposes are:
- To help you quickly find the software, services or information you need.
- To help us create the most relevant content for you.
- To alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information and other new services from OpenPay.
Consent
If you choose not to register or provide personal information, you may still use most of our website or application. However, without your consent, you will not be able to access areas that require registration.
If you decide to register, you will be able to select the types of information you would like to receive from us by subscribing to various services, such as our e-newsletters.
If you do not want us to communicate with you about other offers regarding OpenPay products, programs, events or services by email, mail or telephone, you may select the option that states that you do not want to receive marketing messages from OpenPay.
Access in the app or on the website
We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is accurate and current. You can review and update this information at any time in your account.
In your account, you will be able to do the following:
- View and edit the personal information you have already provided to us.
- Tell us if you would like us to send you marketing information.
- Subscribe to electronic newsletters about our services and products.
- Grant us access to your invoices through ANAF
- Register. Once you register, you will not have to do it again. Wherever you go on the openpay.direct website address or on our OpenPay app, your - information remains safe.
- Revoke access to your invoices from ANAF
- Delete your account
Security
OpenPay has taken strong measures to protect the security of your personal information and to ensure that your choices for intended use are respected. We take precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
We guarantee that your e-commerce transactions are 100% safe and secure. When you place orders or access your personal account information, we use SSL secure server software, which encrypts your personal information before it is sent over the Internet. SSL is one of the most secure encryption technologies available.
OpenPay strictly protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Your personal information is never shared outside of OpenPay without your permission, except as explained herein.
Inside OpenPay, your data is stored on password-controlled servers with limited access. You also have an important role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your username and password, so do not share it with others. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
If for any reason you believe that OpenPay has not adhered to these principles, please inform us by email at [email protected] and we will do our best to determine and correct the problem as soon as possible.
Customer Profiles
As mentioned above, each registered customer has a personal account - a unique personal profile. Each profile is assigned a unique personal identification number, which helps us ensure that only you can access your profile. When you register, we create your profile, assign a personal identification number, and then send this personal identification number back to your hard drive in the form of a cookie, which is a very small piece of code. This code is unique to you. It is your passport to travel seamlessly around the site, allowing you to download free software, order free newsletters, and visit premium sites without having to fill out registration forms with information you have already provided. Even if you change computers, you will not need to register again - just use your registration ID to identify yourself.
The only cookies used by Openpay are those related to the functionality of the site.
What we do with your information
When you register on the app or website, you provide us with your contact information, including your email address. We use this information to send you updates about your account, surveys to measure your satisfaction with our service, and announcements about new services and offerings.
When you make a payment, we ask for your credit card number and billing address. We use this information only to process your payment. For your convenience, we may save your card information if you consent to this, but we do not reuse this information without your permission.
OpenPay will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or if it believes in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the e-mailed instructions of the law.
Personal data protection
We inform you that, starting from May 25, 2018, the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data are applicable.
Article 5 of the GDPR provides that personal data must be:
- processed lawfully, fairly and transparently in relation to natural persons;
- collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes; further processing for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes shall not be considered to be incompatible with the initial purposes;
- adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;
- accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; all reasonable steps must be taken to ensure that personal data which are inaccurate, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay;
- kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, subject to the implementation of appropriate technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals; and
- processed in a manner which ensures adequate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.
To register your account, or to make a payment, you must provide personal data, which is collected for the purpose of identifying the applicant and making the payment. The data collected is not further processed in a manner incompatible with this purpose and is retained for a specified period of time, 3 years.
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the services requested by you and others, subject to any legal obligations to further retain such information. Information associated with your account will generally be retained until it is no longer necessary to provide the services or until you ask us to delete it or your account is deleted, whichever occurs first. In addition, we may retain information from deleted accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Use and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice or in the terms of any contract we enter into, or for a longer period as may be required by law. After that, where permitted by law and this notice, we will delete or anonymize your personal data. By this agreement, I expressly consent to OpenPay, as the controller, Processing my personal data (name/surname, first name, CNP/CIF/CUI, fingerprint, DNA, age, gender, ethnicity, race, home/office address, residence, email address, occupation, income, bank details or any other type of data that can be correlated to lead to identification), signature, digital signature.
Through this agreement, I expressly consent to OpenPay taking note of, storing and using my personal data, whether communicated on the date of application registration or obtained as a result of using the OpenPay application.
I agree that my personal data will be processed during the use of the application, but also for a period of 3 years after the cessation of its use.
I have been informed that I have the right to withdraw consent throughout this storage period.
I confirm that I have been informed of my rights under the GDPR, such as the right to information, the right of access, the right to rectify data, the right to erasure of data (“the right to be forgotten”), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right not to be subject to automated processing or profiling, the right to withdraw consent.
